Ultracaps with fine differences
ULTRACAPs only become capacitors at the end of the manufacturing process, through so-called "AGEING" . This is a somewhat unfortunate choice of words, because ageing does not yet take place here, but rather "birth". The German expression "Formieren" ("forming") is more appropriate, for once, because by applying a voltage, the so-called Helmholtz layers are formed and the double layers of the capacitor are created. During this process, all cells are also measured and thus 100% tested. The capacitors are marked with a lot number.
Lot numbers enable traceability
- Year of manufacture
- Month of manufacture
- Week of manufacture
- Component
The "lot numbers" are an encoded data code and the manufacturing batch to ensure traceability according to IATF16949.
The coding of the lot numbers differs from manufacturer to manufacturer, but can be requested from us if necessary.
