The small, cost-effective SUPERCAP cells can be mounted on the circuit boards in the smallest of spaces. They can be found in many appli­cations as "embedded appli­cations" - both in millions of consu­mer electronics articles and countless control systems.
Furthermore, the long service life with many hun­dreds of thousands of charge and dis­charge cycles plays an important role in the economic opera­tion of a wide range of electronic products. Charging is carried out by induction or corres­ponding charging com­ponents.

Small ultracap cells as memory backup

The operational safety of industrial plants that are monitored and controlled by electro­nical control systems is a top priority. The cylindrical ultracaps have a lower energy density than batteries, but in the event of a power failure they can supply the power for emergency data storage much more quickly. With these "super fast UPSs", systems can be safely shut down in an emergency.
